Two men aged 58 and 65 died yesterday, after a light aircraft crashed close to an airfield in West Sussex.
Emergency services were unable to save the victims, whose plane came down just north of Goodwood Airfield at about 4.38pm yesterday (June 30).
The 65-year-old was from Bulls Cross, and the 58-year-old was from Gosport.
The Air Accident Investigation Branch has been informed.
Police said late on Wednesday evening that officers are providing support to the families of the men who died, but no further information was being made available.
The airfield is a short distance north-east of Chichester.
