Two kitchen workers are due to appear in court today (Saturday, 14), charged with the murder of a 21-year-old man in Brighton. Police were called to a flat in Stafford Road just before 2am on Wednesday morning (September, 11) and found the victim with serious injuries. He was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly before 4am. Police said his next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers. Officers have now charged Francesco Dagostino, 44, who is local to the area, and Giuseppe Petriccione, 44, of no fixed address, with murder. DCI Alex Geldart, of the Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team, who is leading the enquiry, said: "At this time, my thoughts are with the family and friends of the young man who has sadly lost his life. "I would like to thank the local community for their patience and support of the investigation, which has involved significant police presence in the area." Officers said Stafford Road has now reopened following the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting Operation Barnfield.
