Two men on trial after £80,000 of stock stolen from Hove Currys PC World

Two men face burglary charges today after a large amount of stock was stolen from Currys PC World in Hove yesterday (March, 17). Police were alerted by an intruder alarm at 5.27am. Officers said four men all wearing face coverings and gloves, with their hoods up, broke into the premises and stole a large quantity of electrical stock. A large hole in the side of the building was used to gain entry. Police intelligence lead to the stop of a black Audi A4 containing two men on the M23. Seized from the vehicle were items including mobile phones, tablets and laptops, with a combined value of £50-£80,000, according to officers. Marian Ghita, 44, a refuse worker, from Dagenham, and Cristian Rusu, 39, a car valeter, from Ilford, were both remanded in custody to appear before Brighton Magistrates’ Court today (March, 18), charged with burglary. Two further suspects remain outstanding. Anyone with information is asked to contact 101, quoting serial 125 of 17/03.
