Two officers from Sussex Police will appear on BBC One’s Expert Witness this morning (Aug 24) recalling their investigation into a Brighton acid attack.
In May 2021, Milad Rouf travelled to Brighton to carry out a pre-meditated acid attack that left his former partner with life-changing injuries.
He heavily disguised himself, changing into multiple different outfits throughout the day to try and hide his identity and thwart the police investigation.
What he didn’t count on though, was a dedicated team of officers trawling hundreds of hours of CCTV to trace his movements throughout the city.
Rouf was convicted and jailed for 15 years.
