Two young men taken to hospital following crash at Felbridge

Two 18-year-old men have been taken to hospital after a car crashed into two parked cars in Felbridge, near East Grinstead, last night (Wednesday, 15). Police said the white Seat Ibiza was driving west along Crawley Down Road around 10.20pm when it collided with a blue Volkswagen Golf and a red Ford Focus. Officers said the front-seat passenger in the Seat, an 18-year-old man from East Grinstead, sustained serious multiple injuries and was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton for treatment. The driver of the car, an 18-year-old man from Surrey, was left with whiplash and bruising, and was taken to East Surrey Hospital in Redhill. Police said an 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving with excess alcohol and drug driving. Substantial damage was caused to all three vehicles involved. Anyone with information is asked to phone 101, quoting Operation Thornwell.
