A 40-year-old man has been arrested after a suspected rape in Portslade last night (Sunday, 8). Police said they arrested the suspect at the scene in Boundary Road after being called to a report of an unconscious woman at around 11.15pm. The woman was taken to hospital where she regained consciousness and received medical attention. Officers believe the victim and suspect to be known to each other, and are treating the incident as isolated. Police said the man, arrested on suspicion of rape, remains in custody for questioning. Anyone with information is asked to contact 101, quoting serial 1339 of 08/03.
