Weather Warning Remains In Place Across Sussex

The Met Office is warning of heavy showers and thunderstorms up until 8pm this evening (Wednesday, 2) across the county.

As the UK and Sussex continues to experience wet weather this week, the Met Office has now issues a yellow warning of thunderstorms up until tonight, with some flooding and travel disruption also expected. 

According to Met Office guidelines, the county's could experience damage to a few buildings and structures from potential lightning strikes this afternoon, as well as longer journey times on the roads.

The disruptive weather could also cause delays to train services and some short-term loss of power.

With a yellow warning of strong winds also in place, we're being urged to be careful on the roads, as trees and temporary structures such as marquees and tents could also be damaged.
