Weekend Closures For Maintenance On A27 Near Lancing Continue This Weekend

Drivers are being reminded of upcoming weekend closures on the A27 east of Lancing in West Sussex this weekend and next.

These closures will allow work to build a new roundabout on the A27 which will provide better connection to Brighton City Airport and give access to the New Monks Farm development.

National Highways has also started work on the main carriageway and has temporarily closed some filter lanes, footways and cycleways in order to begin construction.

New weekend closures will take place on the A27 westbound at New Monks Farm, Lancing:

  • 8pm on Friday 24 until 6am on Monday 27 March
  • 8pm Friday 31 March to 6am Monday 3 April

Drivers should plan ahead and follow the sign of diversions: from the Shoreham Bypass A283 Steyning Road to A24 from Offington Corner via Washington roundabout.

Resurfacing and other repair work is continuing at Grove Lodge roundabout, Worthing. This work is being carried out overnight between 8pm and 6am, Monday to Thursday only, when there is less traffic on the road. This work started on Monday 6 February and is set to complete by Tuesday 18 April 2023.
