Crews from three fire stations in Sussex and one in Surrey tackled a fire in an industrial estate in Station Road in Loxwood, Chichester overnight and into this morning.
West Sussex crews from Billingshurst, Horsham and Petworth worked from just after 9pm on with eight engines in attendance and a water carrying device.
An aerial ladder was used as well as jets and fog nails. Firefighters also needed breathing apparatus.
People were asked to avoid the area.
The incident was finally scaled down just before 7am this morning, with one crew left from Midhurst damping down any hotspots.
