Party at the Bandstand! Creepy Crawly trails! Half Term Horrors! Our pick of spooky going's on in Sussex this Halloween.

RSPB Pulborough Brooks: Fantastic Fungi Trail: Come along and explore the autumnal woodland in search of fairy-tale fungi like the red and white spotted Fly Agaric and delicate Amethyst Deceiver toadstools. Some of the fungi found along our suggested route will be pointed out, so pick up a fungi trail leaflet and spotters guide from the welcome hut and follow the self-guided trail. Map & spotters guide £1.50 (Parking charges of £3 apply to non-members, RSPB members free) No booking required, just check in at the welcome hut on arrival. Daily throughout October, 10am-4pm

RSPB Pulborough Brooks: Autumn Family Trail: Spellbinding spiders and woodland games: Pick up your activity bag from the welcome hut and follow the spider down the family trail. Find the large webs where you’ll need to unravel the ‘spells’ to find out what other creepy creatures live here on the reserve. Activity bag £2 each. Normal parking charges and nature trail entry charges apply (£3 parking charge, entry charge £4 per adult, £2 child, under 5’s free, RSPB members free). No booking required, just check in at the welcome hut on arrival. Saturday, October 21 to Sunday, October 29, 10am-4pm

Knockhatch Adventure Park: Half Term Horrors: Featuring the interactive Sherlock Holmes Experience in a problem solving journey through the streets of London, alongside the Big Top Spooky Circus and Containment Horror Maze (rated 12a). October 21 to 29.

Drusillas Shriek Week, returns with live action maze adventure in Mummy Mayhem, meet creepy crawlies in Spider’s Den or venture through Haunted Heights to meet the resident witches. October 21 to 29

Burgess Hill: The Halloween Trail returns with lots of local businesses joining in the fun. 
Families can collect their trail map from the Help Point, Kids Stuff or Early and Edmonds, follow the clues to help Betty the Bat find her friends, and then return their completed form to the Help Point for a small prize! All children will be entered into a prize draw, with Betty herself as top prize. October 23 - 27.

Hastings Museum and Art Gallery: Hastings Halloween Trail: Make your way through the museum on the Halloween Trail and discover the spinetingling objects and stories on display. Entry is free and there is no need to book. Suitable for age 7 and over. October 23 - 29.

Hastings Museum and Art Gallery: Boo-Tiful Costumes Galore: Come dressed in your most spooktacular costume this Halloween and haunt the halls of Hastings Museum. Don’t forget to take some photos and share your costumes on social media. Suitable for all ages. October 23 - 29.

RSPB Pulborough Brooks: Wild Wednesday – wild in the woods: Spooky session of creepy-crawly hunting, mud monsters and twig skeletons. Activities between 10am and 1pm.You can also follow the spellbinding spiders trail and make an autumn leaf crown as you explore the nature reserve. You’ll receive the autumn activity bag as part of the event. £6 per child (RSPB members £4.50). Adults pay normal parking charges and nature trail entry charges (£3 parking charge, entry charge £4 per adult, RSPB members free). No booking required, just check in at the welcome hut on arrival. Wednesday, October 25, 10am-1pm

Michelham Priory are lighting up half term with children’s lantern-making workshops, a Wererabbit trail and a walk through display of light sculptures from the gatehouse to the priory and barn. October 27 & 28

Eastbourne Bandstand: Halloween Party with The Zoots. Dress up for singing and dancing and a firework finale on Saturday, October 28. Tickets for each show costs £11 for adults in advance (child £9) and doors open at 7pm for 8pm performances.

Burgess Hill Community Crafters Market: Creepy Craft Sessions: These three pre-bookable sessions are already hugely popular. Tickets can be found on the Town Council's Ticketsource (ticketsource.co.uk/burgesshilltowncouncil). There is a specific session for those with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities), this session does not have a specific age limit.

Hastings Museum and Art Gallery: Crowley's Curse: Learn about the infamous Alastair Crowley who lived out his final days in Netherwood house, Hastings. Legend has it that Crowley placed a curse on the town, that if you have lived in Hastings, you can never leave and if you try, you will always come back. Suitable for age 16 and over. On display in the Brassey Lobby during museum opening hours. Until November 1
