The Chief Executive of the South Downs National Park Authority is calling for more national messaging after images emerged of damaged beauty spots across Sussex.
Trevor Beattie posted on Twitter today (Monday) to highlight the mess left at Southwick Hill and Midhurst Common over the weekend.
He said the damage is caused by 'wild camping', and it's happening 'right across the park'.
The South Downs National Park are clearing up the mess but he has called for more support.
Wild camping is damaging our National Park - these pictures are from Southwick Hill and Midhurst Common this weekend but it is happening right across the Park. @sdnpa is working with partners on the clear up but we need the support of more national messaging. pic.twitter.com/QCRmjtoEI3
