Police are asking for witnesses after a man chased a woman across traffic in Lewes Road, wielding a knife.
The incident happened on Friday, May 7 at about 4.10pm near Enys Road.
The woman, in her late 30s, was seen to run across traffic and approach the front door of a house before she was grabbed and pulled back across the road into a flat.
Police arrived shortly afterwards, chasing the two men, both aged 19, who were then arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.
One was also arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon and possessing a Class A drug.
After being interviewed they were released on police bail until June 4 while enquiries continue.
The woman was treated for a knife injury to her arm, and cuts and bruising
Detective Constable Linda Hoad said:
"We would like to hear from anyone who witnessed this incident or who may have dashboard footage that may provide further evidence.
"If you can help please contact us either online or by calling 101, quoting serial 970 of 07/05."
