Woman Arrested On Suspicion Of Assaulting Police Officers In Worthing

A woman has been arrested after a disturbance in Worthing on Wednesday evening.

Officers on patrol in a marked police vehicle stopped to check the welfare of a woman, who was displaying 'concerning behaviour', on Brighton Road at around 9.15pm.

The woman was subsequently arrested on suspicion of two counts of assaulting an emergency worker and criminal damage.

No injuries were sustained to the officers, and the woman remains in custody, according to Sussex Police.
