Woman Attacked By Group Of Teenagers While Walking Dog In Newhaven

A woman who was walking her dog at a nature reserve in Newhaven has been attacked by a group of teenage girls, prompting an investigation.

On Saturday at about 2.30pm the 19-year-old victim was walking with her dog from Fort Road up Castle Hill towards the cliffs at the Castle Hill Nature Reserve when she was attacked from behind by four teenage girls.

The girls kicked and punched her before running off.

One of the girls is described as white, aged between 16 and 19, about 5’5″-6″, with brown hair and of skinny build and she was wearing a dark coloured jacket.

Sussex Police said:

“This was a nasty and unprovoked attack on a member of the public just out walking her dog, and we are sure some local people will have information about those responsible.
