Woman dies after being struck by train at Three Bridges

A woman has died after being struck by a train on the tracks at Three Bridges station this morning (Monday, 14). British Transport Police were called to the scene, along with paramedics, shortly after 9am, where the woman was pronounced dead. Police said they are now working to identify her and inform her family. The incident is not being treated as suspicious and officers have said a file will be prepared for the coroner. Southern Rail have said lines between Haywards Heath and Gatwick Airport have now reopened, but there could be delays this afternoon.
