Woman left with serious back and leg injuries after car crashes through hedge in Fairlight

A woman has been taken to hospital with serious back and leg injuries after the car she was driving crashed through a hedge in Fairlight yesterday morning (Sunday, 17). Police said the 30-year-old woman was seriously injured after the red Metro saloon car left the road in Pett Level Road around 5am, and went through a hedge into a field. She was taken to Conquest Hospital in Hastings to be treated for serious back and leg injuries. Police said her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening. A 15-year-old boy, who was a passenger in the car, was unhurt. Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting Operation Eastbank.
