At 1.30am today (February 6), volunteer lifeboat crew members rescued a woman reportedly "in distress", who was in the sea off the Sussex coast at East Worthing.
The crew of the Shoreham RNLI inshore lifeboat said they pulled the woman into their boat, after locating her in the water.
Sea-rescue specialists on the call-out described her as responsive but cold, before they transferred her into the care of SECAmb paramedics.
