A woman has been taken to hospital seriously injured after a camper van collided with her in Eastbourne yesterday afternoon (Thursday, 21). The 45-year-old pedestrian, who is local, was injured following the incident involving a Volkswagen in the Tesco car park in Lottbridge Drove around 2.45pm. Police said she was taken by ambulance to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton. No one else was reported injured. Officers said the camper can was driven by a 58-year-old man from Eastbourne. Anyone who saw what happened is asked to contact police on 101, quoting Operation Bilbrook.
