Woman In Worthing "Shaken" After Knifepoint Threat From Another Woman In The Street

A 30-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of assault and making threats, in connection with a reported incident involving a female victim outside a Worthing supermarket.

Police say they received information about a woman being threatened with a knife by another woman outside the Tesco in Chapel Road at 2pm on Saturday (August 1).

Constable Sean Trebble said:

"We are investigating this matter as threats are alleged to have been made to the victim who has been left shaken. 

"If you witnessed what happened or have any information please report online or call 101 quoting reference 1066 of 01/08."

According to police, officers understand that the suspect and the victim are known to each other.
