Worthing Solidarity Network (WSN) held its 'Enough is Enough' protest march and rally at the weekend.
WSN has been actively supporting the ongoing strike action taken by workers in communications transport, with members of the Communication Workers Union (CWU), the National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers (RMT) defending their jobs, pay, conditions and services.
Saturday's march attracted hundreds of supporters drawn from various organisations, with further support from local people as it made its way through Worthing town centre and along the seafront promenade.
The march was followed by a well-attended rally in Montague Place which featured contributions from trade union activists Dan Sartin (Unison), Clive Bryant (PCS) and local CWU postal workers.
A spokesperson for the march said:
"The most telling speech came from Khristina McCormack from Worthing Soup Kitchen, who gave a moving account of the work undertaken by her organisation helping the growing number of local people affected by the Cost-of-Living Crisis.
"WSN is planning further action over the coming weeks and months to highlight the need for change."
