Yellow Weather Warning For Snow, Rain And Ice On Sunday

The Met Office has released a yellow weather warning for Sunday (Dec 18) from 3am until 2pm, warning of icy conditions throughout Sussex.

Rain, sleet and snow are forecast to be pushing northeast across the UK through Sunday, leading to icy conditions in the morning.

Sleet or snow in the South East should only last an hour or two, but, like last Sunday, it'll turn into rain and create frozen surfaces.

Snow is not likely to settle but the predicted 1-2cm will melt and likely turn to ice.

In addition to the ice and snow risk, strong winds are expected, mainly over higher ground.

The forecast for Monday is heavy showers, bringing with it higher temperatures of up to 13 degrees in the early afternoon.

Rain is predicted for most of the week leading up to Christmas.
