A weather warning has been issued for Sussex over the next couple of days.
A yellow warning for heavy rain will be in place from 9pm tonight (Wednesday) until 10am tomorrow (Thursday).
The Met Office says that persistent, sometimes heavy rain, may cause impacts on the roads.
What to expect
- Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer
- Bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer
- Flooding of a few homes and businesses is possible
Heavy rain will affect south-eastern parts of England during Thursday morning, clearing eastwards early afternoon. 20-30 mm of rain is expected fairly widely, with 40 mm in a few places near English Channel coasts.
The ground is fairly wet, and recent fallen leaves may reduce drainage of surface water in some locations.
