Police have arrested a man on suspicion of indecent behaviour towards a group of girls in an East Grinstead street.
The incident happened at around 3pm on Monday (Feb 14) when the girls, aged 14 and 15, were walking along Moat Road.
The man shouted at them whilst exposing himself and acting indecently towards them.
The girls shouted back at him and he ran off.
Two days later (Feb 16) a 34-year-old man was arrested by officers in the town on suspicion of indecent exposure.
He's currently in custody for interview and further enquiries.
Detective Sergeant Mark Miller said:
"There have been no other similar reports and we emphasise that this is a very isolated though concerning incident for the area.
"There is an extra police presence in the area and anyone with information or particular concerns can speak to any of our officers or PCSOs, but we also ask local people to remain alert, and if you are approached by or see a man acting in a similar manner, please call 999 at once."
